ABOUT SHEILA WAGNER
Sheila began her extensive athletic history at 9 years old as a competitive springboard diver. This led to focused training in gymnastics throughout her preteen and teenage years and heightened her interest in and mastery of complex movement. Sheila was 16 when she declared her desire to become a Physical Therapist and began working in hospitals as a Physical Therapy Aide at 18. Sheila graduated with Honors in Health Sciences in 1978 from the University of California at Santa Barbara and went on to graduate from Northwestern University’s School of Physical Therapy in 1980 as Class Representative.

Sheila has always had a love for Orthopedics as a specialty within Physical Therapy and her ongoing post graduate education includes hundreds of hours with advanced manual therapy skills within the fields of Osteopathy and Integrative Manual Therapy. Movement education, weight training and the human electromagnetic field have also been areas of focused study and are specialties within Sheila’s practice.

Optimal performance through Nutrition has always been part of Sheila’s life given her competitive sports background which includes running, triathloning, cycling and currently International Style Ballroom Dancing. It was no surprise when Sheila discovered that many of her patients could not improve or permanently heal without addressing their nutritional and metabolic health and the biochemical relationships between the body’s systems.
Sheila obtained her license as a Certified Nutritionist and has successfully and specifically integrated this service into her Private Practice in Larkspur, California. Sheila is known as an expert in evaluating and treating hard to resolve health issues involving pain, fatigue, digestive and metabolic dysfunctions including weight loss resistance, diabetes, detoxification, and other neuroendocrine/immune system imbalances.
Sheila is the Co-Founder of the Gluten Intolerance Group of Marin, the only California branch of the nationally based Gluten Intolerance Group of North America.
